I am selling a bike for someone and I know nothing about bikes.

if the bike was full suspension then there would be two shocks
front suspension is just a front shock
A full suspension bike will have a shock connected to the rear wheel along with the front forks that have shocks. A front suspension bike is called a hard tail because there is no shock in the rear.Answer by Captain
Does it have suspension on just the front fork, or is there one below the seat as well?
Just the fork: front. Both: full
This is a picture of a full suspension bike. https://img.alibaba.com/photo/10839765/New_Jeep_Cherokee_Full_Suspension_Mountain_Bike_Shimano.jpg
Answer by Benny huh? nahIf a bike has any front suspension, it has straight forks in the front, with springs built in. Push down hard on the handle bars, if they get closer (like two to five inches closer) to the floor/ground, it has front suspension.
If a bike has a rear swing arm that allows the rear tire to move relative to the frame, along with a front fork with suspension, it is a full suspension bike. Push down hard on the seat, if the seat moves toward the floor, again, two to five inches, it is full suspension; if it doesn’t its a “hard tail” no rear suspension.
Answer by doubleyou bfull suspension is front and rear. Some have locking rear suspension which can make your bike front suspension only when racing, and unlock the rear when you need cushining for the trails.
