Goldbrix: How do you “pass the baton” at work?
I’m looking for new ways to get some of the slackers in my office involved in the projects we’re all supposed to be pitching in on. I usually use what I call the “Tom Sawyer Technique” — if they see how much “fun” (or at least notice from the boss) I’m getting out of the process, they sometimes will “grab a paintbrush” and pitch in. But it doesn’t always work. Anyone else have any tricks for getting more buy-in on a project from your team or other co-workers?

why not hold a carrot out to them. throw in a round of drinks on friday night to entice them for a job well done by the stipulated deadline.
Or the stick.
Just tell them that u expect everything to be completed by the stipulated deadline. That’s what my boss usually does. It has never failed.
