When you want to make music videos of movies, how do you get the movie imported into the Movie Maker system? Do you need some device?

convert the movie to the file extension that WMM supports, then you can use WMM to edit it.

windows movie maker just drag it if it won’t change format of movie go to Any-Dvd-converter.com its free dowload it reconfigure movie and then drag it into the box

Windows Movie Maker can import and supported almost all video and media files, audio and pictures.

Open Windows Movie Maker. To import your files, go to:
File > Import into collections… or “Ctrl+i”.

But if you are referring to “external devices”, then you nedd to do this:
connect your camcorder to Windows and let Windows detects your device.

Once connected, then you can either copy the files into your pc or capture directly into your Movie Maker.

Just select “Capture video from device” or “Ctrl+r” and follow the instruction.

I wish I can tell you more but not everyone is using a camcorder with same brand or models.
