Have you ever met a bf or gf online through MySpace, Facebook or a matchmaking website? What was your experience like? And would you “date” someone who lives abroad, consider a relationship with a person in a another country, and maybe one day arrange to meet?

I dont date em because its kinda scary , like you never know what kind of person they might be , they may seem nice and friendly but you never know . I have a few friends who do date people they meet online and so far they’ve met good people but not everyone is good . My brother met his now wife on myspace 3 years ago and has 3 kids and he’s only 20 , good Idea , I think not.

I met my two ex boyfriends online.. back then I thought I was desperate.. It never worked out.. the second one lived abroad and I spent 6 wasted months with him.. I don’t suggest it.. although everyones luck is different.. I am still on dating websites but i am more cautious now.

I met my current boyfriend on a dating site and from continued contact on Facebook and he’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had and don’t regret my decision to give it a go. And possibly no to the abroad question, while I can handle a bit of distance I think that much would be to much for me and I couldn’t handle seeing him possibly so little and not knowing exactly what would be happening in his life.

In another state yes, but abroad, no, i am dating a guy in colorado, that i met on the net, we have met n visited when we can, if it had of not turned out to be serious, i would have dumped him a long time ago, nothing can replace seeing someone you love everyday, phones, IM, texting are all over rated!
