Secretly Silent: How do the hotels count hours of one night?
I am going to be out of town in a few weeks, so I have to stay in hotels at night. However, I am not sure how do the hotels count the hours of one night (I mean from certain time to another certain time as one night). Can someone help me on that?

Usually, there is a check in time, like 1 or 2 PM and you have to check out by a certain time in the morning, often 10 AM or else they charge you for another day. But, if you ask, they might allow you a late check out time or an earlier check in time. Every hotel has it’s own rules.
Hotels have a check-in time and a check-out time. You generally can not check-in prior to check-in time (although there can be exceptions if a room is ready). You generally can not check-out after check-out time (or they may charge a fee to check-out late). If you check-in on Tuesday afternoon and check-out on Friday morning, you’ve stayed three nights.Answer by Kalaz
They don’t count hours at all.
Usually, you check-in anytime after 3pm and you check-out before 10am.
If you check in at 4am, you would still have to pay for the whole night.
