Go to my computer, and the hardrive should be there.
Go to ‘Disk Management’ and assign a drive letter to whichever partition you want to access. If you don’t know how to get to the disk manager, you can just enter ‘diskmgmt.msc’ into the Run bar.Answer by Harley Drive
have you partitioned and formatted it? if it is sata /usb there is not enough power from one usb socket to power it up you need a cable that will plug in 2 usb sockets then into the driveAnswer by Caiteee
I had a problem earlier today with my hard drive where I couldn’t access it. I have a Western Digital HD, and under My Computer, the only drive that showed up was the “G” drive called WD SmartWare. I looked through a ton of forums and blah blah blah and realized that all I had to do was enter my password that’s under the G drive, haha. I don’t know if that’s exactly your problem, but whether it is or not, it’s good information to retain. Also, do you want to COPY and paste your things? Or do you want to fully remove them from your internal and place them in your external? To copy and paste, all you have to do is “Ctrl + C” to copy, and then “Ctrl + V” to paste. If you want to cut and paste (remove from internal and place in external), you’ll have to do “Ctrl + X” to cut, and then “Ctrl + V” to paste. I hope this helped. If you have any questions, you can drop me an e-mail! (:
