yemghost2001: How do I track down stocks that I once bought through a now-defunct online brokerage site?
About 10-12 years ago I bought some stock in a few companies (AT&T and Sears being two of them) through an online site that no longer exists (Quick and Reilly). My email and snail-mail address has changed multiple times since then and I have no idea where these stocks have gone. Is there an easy way to track them down so I can sell them / assume control of them again? Thanks!

Check with the stock exchange in yr country they must have someone in an Admin. role that can point you in the right direction? Your name will be listed with the individual companies you bought shares in again they must have someone that can fill you in on how to rightfully re-claim them (at the companies themselves). BTW – unless they are really strong companies & have not been affected by the GFC I wouldn’t be selling shares ATM, unless of course you need the cash. If these companies have been paying their investors franked or unfranked dividends, where have yours gone to? Good luck.
Your stocks should be with Bank of America Investment Services if B of A didn’t turn the securities over to the state due to lack of activity. Quick and Reilly merged with Bank Of America several years ago.
