webjourneyman: How do I stop yahoo from sending messages from my university to spam?
Marking them as not spam does not work, they keep getting sent to spam folder, maybe somebody (stupid) else is marking them as such instead of trash or maybe yahoo is fuk*ing up, I’d just like to tell yahoo what the url and email ending for my university is but yahoo does not provide any contact info.

Add them to your address book, that should do it.
You should create a filter for these mails to have them go to a specific folder, here’s how: sign into your mail account, on the left under “check mail” you’ll see “folders” (add – edit), click “add” and make a new one. Name it however you like. Click on “options” on your main mail page (in the top right corner), go to “filters”, select from the options you are given. That should hopefully take care of your problem.
If it does not help, I suspect that your university may somehow have gotten on Yahoo’s blacklist for sending and receiving many mails. In that case go to your university’s sys-admin and show him this link:
It’s a site which has hints and tips about how to get yourself removed from a blacklist.
