Ima Crazy: How do I stop spam coming from my account?
I have a Hotmail account that receives some spam email, all of which is deleted immediately. I have never opened any of this spam but for some reason my friends are getting spam mail from my account. I cannot see the spam in my sent box nor does the emails have any links to external websites or where they could be coming from. How do I stop sending these emails which I don’t send?

the only way to stop it is to open them and usually at the bottom f the email they have an unsubscribe link and just unsubscribe. its the only way to. and next time try to make sure you dont enter your email in places that will spam you
yer right in not opening them but seems you have an adware bug installed using your account, two ways here, cancel account and start a new one, but that won’t remove bug. adware scanner and malware scanner and/or spyware scanner. some work yesAnswer by Hot Chick
DO NOT CLICK UNSUBSCRIBE in the spam emails!!
This will only verify to the spammer that your account is active, and they will send you even more spam.
Now to solve your problem (I haven’t seen one person that knows what they are talking about when they answer questions on this subject)
Computers that unknowingly/unwillingly send out spam emails are known as “Zombie Computer”
Millions of computers have fallen under the control of hackers, and they can do anything they want with your computer, and of course this includes using your email account to spam others, this is so they won’t get caught doing this & the blame gets put on you.

Are you ready for the solution?
The best way to fix your Zombie Computer is also the most painful: a complete system wipe out, & reinstall your system, good luck.
There are two possibilities here.
1. The spam industry has somehow “acquired” your Hotmail password and is using it to send spam to all your contacts by accessing Hotmail’s e-mail servers using your password.
The solution…..change your e-mail password to a strong one of at least 10 characters…use both upper and lower case letters and throw in some numerals and punctuation marks too. Do NOT use the same password for other web services like Amazon or Facebook.
2. Your computer has become infected by an e-mail worm and has turned your computer itself into an illicit e-mail server, again sending spam to all your contacts.
The solution…perform a full system scan with both your anti-virus and anti-spyware softwares. Quarantine whatever they find.

Good luck.
