ferrickhead28: How do I sell a stack of old foreign money?
I found a stack of old foreign currency in my attic. I tried to exchange it at the airport, but they said the currency was no longer valid. If I was to sell it, where would I sell it at? Is there a website that lists old foreign currency that I can questimate how much to sell it for?

research it on the internet to see about how much it would be worth, if anything.
The only place I know of to sell it would be E-BAY! people buy all kinds of stuff on there!
Answer by Valeriadepending where you are, there IS stores/locations that sell antique items… and currency. Just do a net search for your area.. if you need, be broad in your search and find the closest ones.. because the coin dealer will want to see the coins/bills to see the condition to assess it properly. Ebay is great, but not for even guestimates of an appraisal. As for the money in the attic.. it’s a shame… They expired.. I know that everyone was in a mad scramble to turn in their monies after the euro started up. Good luck.Answer by AznDrPhil1337
Go to a museum or something and ask the people how much they’re worth. Sell it to them if they pay you alot I guess, if not E-Bay.Answer by BD in NM
If you are in the US, most any coin dealer would be able to help figure out a value. Another source of information might be a local coin collecting club. My third suggestion would be to go to a library and see if they have a reference book on world paper money.
Leads for dealers and coin clubs (even some outside the US) can be found at the American Numismatic Association web site, money.org.
Answer by TaipingTry a currency dealer, It sounds like you don’t live in the U.S. for you said you went to the airport and the currency has been devalued. No currency printed or coined by the federal government from 1793-today has ever been devalued. Yes you can actually spend a 1865 2 cent piece to pay the IRS, they have to take it. Of course it is worth much more to a collector. See a dealer in your area or see a couple.
