Unknown: How do I respond to a co-worker sending an email with pictures of her son?
This morning my co-worker emailed me pics of her son. It is just a little odd because she is not a close co-worker at all. I almost wonder if she sent it to the wrong reciepent?
Do I reply and say like “cute kid?” or say nothing? I am only 23 and not used to people sending me pictures of their children?

Dont reply if it was out the blue…
Say what you think. Is he cute? If he is why not say so.Answer by *Mercury Retrograde*
Did she send it to just you or a group of people? – sometimes people send out pictures to a group to show them the new pictures- even though it’s odd to me and wouldn’t do it I just look at it and if they ask I say – “Nice Pictures” otherwise if they don’t send a message like- “what do you think?” then you can probably just ignore it, unless you want to comment.Answer by Earth2Dee
Round here this kind of e-mail only makes the rounds when a child is born.
Other than that, I’d think it a bit odd.
Just say “Cute!” or something non-committal, yet inoffensive. If she’s out of line for using company e-mail for this purpose, let her boss tell her.
Answer by The SaintJust say “How nice, how old is he?” and let it go with that.Answer by Health-Food Junky
Just ignore it and pretend you never received it. Maybe she meant to send to one person and accidentally sent it to the whole office. Just delete it and pretend it didn’t happen. Why respond something, anything if you just don’t know what to say.Answer by Tracy M
Two options…first send a response saying “cute pic”. Other option is to ignore it. Truthfully it probably doesn’t matter because you were on a mailing list. The person sending it really shouldn’t have since it was a work email account…don’t worry about it. If it were me I would just ignore it.Answer by joan.rickerby
She probably considers you a friend or a nice person, at the least.
It only takes 5 seconds to be kind and say a nice word or two in a reply email or in person the next time you see her.Answer by honest answers
Was the kid naked? I would report her if they were inappropriate pics. Otherwise just ignore it. Or send her a pic of your cat or dog in response.Answer by tiedyelime81
no need to reply if you have nothing to say.
