How do I permanently change my folder view to “List” in windows?

Sera: How do I permanently change my folder view to “List” in windows?
I know how to change this option regularly but it always switches back to “Tiles”. How do I make a permanent change?

Hi, Navigate to the folder you are trying to change first, then select the view you want your folder to appear as, “List” is what you want i believe. Next go to the menu Tools -> Folder Options… and then click the “view” tab. There click the apply to all folders and whatever view you currently have will be the new default view.
