cnacyn: How do I make algebra easy to remember?
I am taking beginning algebra and am taking a test on Monday. I just want to know what is the easiest way of remembering the formulas? I just need some simple pointers?

I’d say practice them over and over again until you can practically do it in your sleep. Go through your recent homework sections and do every single problem from one lesson to the next. If you still feel a little shaky about it when you’re done, get some clean paper and do them all over again. If any of them are a sticking point, ask for some help from your parents or someone who knows algebra so that maybe they can explain it in a way that makes it “click” in your head and you understand how to do the particular formula. I wish there was an easier way to suggest but really, that’s the best way you’ll get them memorized.

Here are three mnemonics used in math.
mnemonic mne·mon·ic (nĭ-mŏn’ĭk) adj.
Relating to, assisting, or intended to assist the memory. n. A device, such as a formula or rhyme, used as an aid in remembering.

PEMDAS:Parenthesis, Exponents,(Multiplication/Division) then (Add/Subtract) Please Excuse (My Dear) (Aunt Sally).

FOIL:First+Outside+Inside+Last

Pie are square = Pi^2 = area of circle.

You can use mnemonics for many classess for example HOMES= Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior for the names of the Great Lakes.

Just keep doing practice problems and in no time you will be able to remember all of the formulas for the test

flash cards!!! yes, they sound dumb and stuff but that is how i memorize every thing! including the biology stuff (blechhh), sciences, math. and guess what? although it could be time consuming i did great
or make up a song to you favorite tune! like lets say lady gaga- haha
example: hello hello, algebra you are so boring. but i need to memorize the formulas instead of sleeping.
for triangals the area is 1/2 the BH.
but the squares area is plain BH
……….. haaa yes, its cheesy but songs save my life good luck
