help me God im in hell: How do I make a resume for a customer service representative job if all I have is fastfood experience?
I have a diploma and worked at 6 fastfood restuarants and got fired from 4 of them and quit 2 of them before they could fire me? Dont ask why I just have very bad luck and my whole life has been like a raining cloud. Well Sonic was the obly one I deserved to be fired from for giving away food to my homeboys! I promise that Im a good person but I feel like Im on a rough path to make me really strong in the future!
everybody saying that i need to grow up! I took responsibility for giving away food DAMN what more do you want I was like 15 and that was my boo so I gave him some food! Never did it again! 2 of my employers were racist and gave me hard time and found dumb reasons to fire me! One of my employers was a powder head and he eventually got caught! SO thats 4! So what I got the bad end! And the one I quit I felt tension in the workplace to much drama and rumors so I put in a 2weeks notice. The last one I moved so I had to quit! Their go full details for the stuck up people! I already found my answer anyway! That guy who gave me that really long paragraph of stuff to say and it sounded PERFECT THANK YOU im copying it and pasting it now! As soon as 4 hours is up you will be getting you 10 points. YOUR GREAT THANX AGAIN

You can write a resume to suit your needs. Fast food jobs are customer service experience, you deal with people on all levels, and you can write your resume to reflect that.

stay in fast food as no corporate world job will have you.
1. when at work, you are at work
2. its not a place to play, hang out, have fun, its why they call it work.
3. its not a place to treat your friends with free crap
4. be happy you don’t have a theft record already cause if you worked in my food joint, I’d have you arrested faster than you can blink.
5. mature some….no one likes a thief, and you are one
6. realize that most people only get fired from 1, maybe 2 jobs their ENTIRE life time…yet have have 4 already. realize you have no clue how the working world works and you have no place in it till you do learn this simple fact. go back to school, take some biz classes, something.
A person that steals then promises items is nothing more than a liar…just so you know.
You are not on the way to a rough path….you are already on it, and going down fast.
Realize what a “job” means….until you realize that, you will continue on this rough path. And once you step off it…it won’t be an easy new path as you have YEARS of damage that you created that YOU have to now over come with YEARS of excellent and perfect service to your new employers.
Answer by cliff_dwellerYou need to promote yourself from a customer service standpoint. Did you deal with customers? Of course you did which means that you have customer service experience. Put that on your resume. Focus in on that and cash handling experience….Answer by Deb D
How many years did you work in customer service?
Put that on your resume, talk about things that you accomplished (how you dealt with customers)
leadership skills and use action verbs focus more on what you can offer the employer instead of the jobs.
Hope this helps and good luck on your job search!!
Answer by SLFI’m wondering if you could turn being sacked to your advantage in terms of applying for the customer service job. Everyone knows what shit places fast food restaurants can be to work in. If I were you I would explain something like the following:
I went into the catering trade because I enjoy customer interaction and thought I would have the chance to develop my customer service skills, either to use within the catering industry at a higher level, or to use in another industry. However, as time went by I became very disillusioned because the management made it clear we weren’t there to serve customers, we were there to sell as much fast food, as fast as we could. There was no place for good customer service, only for making money.
I didn’t want to feel that I was a lightweight and couldn’t handle it so I decided to stick it out, but it became clear that my attitude towards the customers (be friendly, serve them with a smile, have a chat with them etc) just didn’t fit with the corporate ideal. Fast food in the company’s eyes means no real customer interaction, it was like being on a conveyor belt. The management felt I was slow, because I would sometimes pause to exchange a friendly word with a customer, or help them if they asked for directions etc. In the end the company and I became so frustrated with each other we parted company.
Unfortunately I was optimistic enough to think this kind of thing was unique to this company – it wasn’t, as I found out from trying working for other fast food chains, which is why I left two of my employers – I wanted to leave while I still had some self-respect.
I’m now in the position where I know I have something to offer in terms of customer service – I know I can be helpful, friendly and help the customer feel good about the company I work for – but I know I have to try a different career route than the one I’ve been in before. I want an interesting job, and one in which I can really make a difference. I’m keen, interested in business, and more than willing to undergo training and take new qualifications if that’s required.
[as part of this you should also state any examples of how you did give good customer service]
Hope that helps!
Answer by hollisterinsomniacBeing fired doesnt help and neither does your history. Before you apply to a Customer Service representative job you need to have some history of established time where you deal with customers. Any of those jobs would have been great but the fact that you got fired from 4 of them and quit on 2 of them BEFORE they fired you only shows that you are not taking on any responsibility for your own actions. You need to grow up and maybe now you are realizing that your past actions are dictating your future circumstances.
If I were you, Id go enroll at a local college, Junior college whatever. Something that shows you are taking responsibility for yourself and at the same time take your current job seriosly. Employers will contact previous companies to get a report from them about you. You want those to be great and reflective to who you really are. But if you keep dusting it off and blaming others than forget it….. I’ll take a chocolate shake with my Double burger.
Work on it you can do it
Answer by Ms KammMs Lady,
First of all, you have to have just a little more confidence in yourself. I don’t mean to preach to you , but success starts from within.
Find out what you REALLY want to do, then just do it!! You seem like a pretty smart young woman. Know that you definatly deserve better than what you have been getting…use your head and stop putting yourself in situations that are not healthy.
Start by changing your web contact name, its distrespectful, even to you (…see what I mean???) Take a look at the small things like that.
I have have been through some major sh*t, it was only after I changed my attitude about myself was I able to provide a better situation for my life. If you are SERIOUS about yourself, just think about the things YOU want for YOU.
Go to a temporary agency. A good one will not only help you with your resume, but help you find a nice job too.
LIFE IS SHORT…STOP PLAYING BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT A KID ANY MORE. GET OUT THERE AND SHOW THEM WHAT YOU WORKIN’ WITH!!!
