qball144: How do I keep my kitten from trying to nurse from my older cat?
I have a 3 month old kitten, and she thinks my older cat has milk. But my older cat has never had any kittens before, so no milk. Why does she keep going to nurse if there is no milk? Also how can I stop her from trying to nurse off my other cat. Its making my older cat’s nipples bleed, and get hard.

Kittens will nurse out of comfort. Not just food.

And if the older cat is tolerating it, as weird as it sounds…don’t worry about it.

Yeah, it is weird to us, but normal for pets to do this.

Offer the kitten some toys to maybe get her attention, and play with her more.

Well there is not much you can do if the other cat is allowing it. The only thing I can think of is to rub some vinegar on your older cat, it won’t hurt either cat. The kitten won’t like the taste, but your old cat just might get a little bit upset lol.
