paulaparanoia: How do I get my mom to let me get snakebites instead of my lip only pierced once?
My mom let me get the right side of my bottom lip pierced on my 18th birthday but she won’t let me get the left side done to complete a snakebite. How should I try to convince her to let me get it done? She won’t let me because I still live at home and I promised not to get it done ever when I got my right side done. I REALLY WANT IT DONE!!! Help?

You’re 18, you can just go get it done, you don’t need parental consent or anything.

One way to convince her is to tell her that if she’s going to let you get one, then might as well get the other.
Also, if she is paying for the one pierce, then maybe talk about paying for the other bite.
Try to convince her by telling her the advantages of getting both [if you can think of any] and try to put her on a small guilt trip maybe.
Like for me when I was young, I wanted to get a dog, so I told my mom that since everybody else in the family had a pet, I only thought it was fair if I could get a pet, too.
