Liquorish: How do I get my dog to not be afraid of other dogs?
I have a black labrador puppy and she’s afraid of other dogs. I got her from the animal shelter about a few months ago. Everytime I take her to the vet and she sees the other dogs she runs on the chairs barking and hollering. If she sees another dog out while Im walking her barks and runs behind me for saftey. Tomorrow, Im adopting another dog from the shelter and I see this might be a problem for my puppy. How can I get her to not be afraid?

Try letting her play with puppies her size or smaller to start out with. then once she gets more comfortable let her be around bigger dogs too.
maybe bring another dog to your house and have your dog and the other dog play outside in the back yard to know each other do this with many different dogs maybe. take her for walks where there are other dogs and just hold the leash so the dog doesn’t start attacking other dogs like ignoring them maybe that will help. Just have ur dogs play with each other often. if she plays with other dogs often she might not be afraid anymore.Answer by deltadawn
Socialize,.. as often as you can.
Leash your dog(s) take to parks, walks, etc. Let them get use to the sight of other dogs first, then gradually introduce to.Answer by dvmik
Socialize the dog more. Introduce the dog gradually. Enroll in an group obedience class. This will help introduce the dog to other dogs and provide more confidence for your dog.
