Jolom Shronalh: How do I get my dad to let us have a pet? or any pet suggestions?
Well my dad won’t let us have a pet. He says it’ll take alot of responsibility. 4 children in the family and 1 1/2 is responsible. Well any pet suggestions or suggestions to persuasion?

Get a Kitten and name it Julio. Make an argument about burdens on animal shelters, and emphasize the need to contribute to society by adopting a rescue pet. And by that I mean a kitten named Julio.
well, ask your dad why is it that he is objecting you guys for having a pet?
maybe u are still young? or you guys are not that responsible yet?
parents are the one usually ending up having to take care of the pet once the kids start to get sick of their pets. it’s quite tiring for them to manage pets and kids together. so maybe that’s why ur dad is objecting it.
many u and ur siblings could show some responsible by doing some chroes at home, like cleaning up ur room, cleaning up the kitchen?
show ur dad that you can take care of urself, slowly ur dad will start to trust in u that u can take care of a pet.
Answer by Shakira SWell if you have small sisters/ brothers don’t get those furry cute squishy animals such as hamsters because I fear for their (hamster’s) safety.
Get a puppy or a cat! Remember, having a pet is not that simple. Remember that you have to feed them (GOOD FOOD ONLY), care for them, and bring them to the vet to get vaccinated!

Answer by GarnetWell I wanted a guinea pig for a looong time, and my parents were very very strict. So i was surprised when they finally let me.
What I did was, since I REALLY WANTED this guinea pig, I did so much research that my head imploded, then I wrote an essay on it! (I was 8 so it was pretty impressive haha). They were very touched that I had put so much effort and time into it, that they decided I could get one!
Unfortunately, I changed my mind and didn’t want to get one anymore! (I was 8, I changed my mind faster than Usain Bolt)
But it worked!
Don’t try reasoning with your father, because, knowing parents, they will become annoyed at your contant pleas.
Trying getting all your sibling together to make a small presentation! Or a small project about the animal you want to get. This will display responsibility, and prove to your dad that you aren’t just “wanting a pet for fun” and that you are going to actually step in and take care of it. If well excecuted, your dad will won’t have anychoice but to say yes 🙂
