~*~Sweetly Orginal~*~~: How do I get my brother’s kitten to stop destroying the toilet paper?
My brother’s kitten, Sylvester, is constantly clawing the toilet paper when we have new toilet paper. He is also so out of control that he destroyed my Geography homework from Monday and got me into ZAP. What do I do?
ZAP is something students at my school do when they don’t turn in work, or their pets destory it.

Just shut him out of the bathroom.
Or when you catch him tell him “no” and take him away from the situation or spray him with a water mister bottle.
Buy him some new toys and a scratching post to busy him. ๐

hes just a baby, and to him its fun- its just another toy he doesnt understand toilet paper or homework is serious business ๐ just keep things out of his reach and make sure you keep doors shut off to him where he can get into trouble. Consider confining him to one room when no one is home so everyone is happy. Also, buy him some cheap kitty toys and encourage him to use those, not stuff hes gonna get into trouble with. ๐Answer by Monica E
hide the toilet paper in a cabinet or something. that is what i had to do until my cats got out of the “kitty” fase! good luck!Answer by Cyndi
Switch the roll so that it rolls down the wall, not down the front of the roll…that way when Kitty reaches to pull it down, it just rolls itself back up instead of making a pile on the floor.
No more fun. Kitty walks away.
Answer by Rainahyes, kittens are just like babies….they don’t know what’s right and wrong. And like babies, kittens love shredding and tearing things apart. haha. I think by giving the kitten some very cool toy that he can shred and tear, he will leave the TP alone! ๐ If he does go back to the TP, just keep taking him away from it and offering him the toy.Answer by *crunch*
cant you see? your cat is trying to teach YOU to use the litter box…
no but really, just shut the door.
and put the work up when your done.
Simple answer is that he is bored, as well as being hyperactive which is what all kittens are. Best this is to get him lots of scratchy toys, as well as things that move in the breeze etc to occupy his attention, maybe get a ball of twine that he can unravel to his hearts content, or even sacrifice the odd toilet roll. He will grow out of it but at this moment he is discovering the delights of hunting and chasing and needs to have lots of targets and as a result he will grow into a lovely mature cat with great dexteritory, balance and personality.Answer by kewpie doll
