: How do I get back into a University if I have previously been dismissed from one, due to low grades?
I have been dismissed from my university because I had low grades. I want to start fresh, is there anyway for universities to disregard my previous academic records, and allow me to enroll based on a trial or probationary status? I am in Canada by the way. If you know of any universities within Canada, I am willing to travel.

I went to college in the US, but my school allowed previous grades to be excluded from my cumulative GPA once they were retaken and passed. This only applied to freshmen level classes tho.Answer by Probably messing with you
I imagine Canada is similar if not identical but this description applies to state university systems in the US. Most community colleges offer open enrollment-which means that anyone who wants to can attend. If you get an Associates Degree from a state affiliated community college, you can then apply to four year academic programs in that state University system. If you’re near the border you may want to look at the State University systems in whatever US state you are adjacent to.
