I know that PayPal is safe and reliable because I have used it once before with my mom and it is used as the main method of payment on many websites (eBay), but my dad got angry because he says that
PayPal is unsafe. My dad says that other people will use our credit card information and use our money. I tried to reason with him but he just got more angry. So how do I get through a thick-headed person like me dad? Any suggestions on how to reason with him?

This is a toughy. The best way would be to call up paypal, and have a representative tell your dad themselves. Any1 (like the a$ $ hole above) who says its not safe is retarded quite frankly. Ive received 200$ back from a purchase on ebay because the seller didnt send the item. Paypal is 10000% legit. Best way is to have a paypal agent to talk to your dad though. call the toll free (i believe) at 1-402-935-2050

Just to let you know ive spent like… $ 1000+ through paypal total on ebay. What you want to do is ensure the site your buying off of is reliable as well. The reason this idi0t above didnt get his money back is because the site he bought off probably wasn’t reliable

it’s true paypal is just the same as any good credit card company. They have a great allowance thing though. That’s how I get my allowance. PayPal is pretty good, just make sure that the website that you are on is tottally legal and safe. Otherwise, it’s your fault if anything bad happens.

try writing him a note, thick headed people can’t argue with a note. Then you can talk about it later.

my parents were like that too… the best way to get your father to listen is to let a friend of your father’s or relative talk with him and ease in on the situation… if they have a paypal they should talk about cheap items on the internet or the benefits…

A year ago I was using my sister’s paypal to buy items, and my parents noticed no theft was committed and how cheap the products were on the internet. Now my parents let me use their credit card. Of course I had to convince them a little more.

paypal is safe, fast and easy… and to dragonsbreath181 it wasn’t paypal’s fault, it was the seller… you can confirm your purchase on email so you will not get charged for something you did not pay for…
