tbf-ac: How did you decide your bible is the absolute authority on truth?
I often hear people say my bible is the word, the truth.

To decide something is truth we usually examine all the evidence. In a court case you don’t just take the word of a defendant or prosecution without examining all evidence in the case.

Can you really claim that the bible is absolute authority truth word when most likely you have not examined other religious beliefs, books, texts, historical facts etc, there are 100s of religions over 100s of years while ever there have been humans around. Christianity itself is split up into denominations who interpret the bible in different versions.

Why are you not willingly to question? How did you choose your religion and make a decision?

Isn’t it true that most likely you are following your family and peers?

So, I “inherited” my religious/ethical beliefs from my family/culture, but YOU think you have “freely” chosen your beliefs on the basis of reason and logic?

Because I have blind faith, that is how I know the Bible is true. Faith can move mountains if you believe.

I don’t like my family and my peers are all atheistic in a sense my whole life has been questioning my beliefs and it is a constant struggle enough without you making bold assumptions about who I am and where I am spiritually… spiritually speaking of course

Oh but I have explored other Religions and Faiths. I have studied, in depth, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and some others. Only Christianity has the whole Truth.

The Bible is the Word of God. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin and proves the scriptures. It is from the scriptures that we learn about the love of God.

There is only one God. He has sent fire from heaven. Choose this day whom you will serve.

By reading it; the Bible.

You say things can be decided in a court case, yet what court? Man made courts often have unscrupulous lawyers laying out dubious facts.

You would almost have to live in a cave in these days to not have heard about the many religions
existing around the world.

Questions should always lead to answers. You have to let Jehovah, the God of the Bible, draw you to him, and then go from there
