Trena K: How dangerous is it to remove my clitoris with a scalpel?
I want to do the female circumcision thing for personal reasons. I think it is a cultural and a spiritual thing that most Americans don’t understand.
My problem, docs in this country won’t do it even though I want it.
How dangerous is it to just cut it off myself? What are the risks? I know it will hurt like nothing I’ve ever felt before and I’m ready for that part. How do I keep the wound healthy?

you don’t do it. a doctor needs to do it. you could bleed to death. you’ll need to find a doctor who will do it.Answer by Coop <3
I guess if you want to mutilate your own genitals instead of being forced into it, okay….although I can’t imagine anything more spiritual than having an orgasm with someone you truly, truly love which could become very difficult or impossible to achieve if you go through with this procedure.
However, I really advise you NOT to do this on your own. I am unsure what avenue you must pursue to get this done, and I honestly wouldn’t tell you if I did, but I will tell you that the area of your body that you’d be cutting stays dark and moist all day long. This is an area of the body that will be extremely prone to infection, increasing your chances of going septic very quickly if an infection occurs that you can’t fight off.
Especially since you didn’t mention any medical background of any kind, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. You will be unable to maintain the area, not just in the long run but during and immedietely afterward as well. Even the risk of you losing too much blood and dying after the procedure is highly possible.
This may be something you want to do, but it’s certainly something you don’t want to do yourself.
Answer by Jeffery LYou’re a moron, humans are the only species of animal with a sex organ thats only purpose is pleasure. You are going to cut it off and never be able to have an orgasm for life. You need mental help…I hope your whole vagina rots and falls off after you do it.Answer by LB67

There are tons of risks.
Infection (which could lead to serious illness) is just one of the many.
Don’t do it. Just please, don’t do it.
