How come when I report spam and advertising it is still there for days and days?

Aussie: How come when I report spam and advertising it is still there for days and days?
Am I that untrustworthy that spam, advertising, chats, rants and swearing has to be reported by people who need more than a Police check into their back ground? How the heck do you become ‘trusted’ to report SPAM? Does anyone else have this problem?

I don’t know if any that I’ve reported are gone – I’ll have to check. But I think it takes more than one report, and so many people think that giving a thumbs down will do it. But I know they ARE watching: one of my answers was deleted because all I said was ‘no’ on a ‘poll’ question. I’ve appealed, because that’s how the heading was phrased.

I’m only on level 4 – if anyone is ‘trusted’ it should be a ‘top contributors’ like you.

@ I appealed the removal – and they gave it back! There are people out there somewhere!
