Rodger: How can you send a kitten to someone out of state?
My cat had kittens last night, and one of my friends wants to adopt one of the kittens. However, I live in oregon, and she lives in kentucky. Is there a way to get the kitten to her?
Driving is not an option as I don’t have a car. If it was, I wouldn’t have asked.

Uhh… drive it to her?!
Fedex it in a very small package with no holes or put a mailing stamp on the kittens head to the destination.

Buy a traveling case and fly it.
Answer by belizeableYes. There are airlines that will transport animals.
The price can vary but is almost always over $ 200 with the taxes, fees and carrier. You can check with several airlines to see who will give you the best deal (American, Continental, United, Delta… etc.).
The kitten has to be a certain age (at least 8 weeks, but it may vary depending on airline) and must be up to date on all shots/vaccines.
As you can see, this can be quite costly. Most people ship animals because they want to get a dog/cat from a particular breeder. Unless there is something special about the kitten (purebred, markings, etc.) your friend might want to consider finding a kitten locally and saving money.

The only other way to send the kitten, is to ship it when its 3-4 months old and has all shots. It will cost about $ 250 to ship in cargo on most airlines.Answer by dan148
