sweet: How can one brother be very aggressive and the other brother be passive?
I mean they came from the same parents…..I thought they would be similar; but no.
Actually the one aggressive brother never gets walked on…Because people either pick up on it or see him being aggressive.

THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES REGARDLESS OF AGE ETHNICITY GENDER AND FAMILY RELATIONS .
Your question is a bit too general for a specific answer. A study of systems theory and family roles sounds like it might provide some of the understanding you seek.
In a nut shell the prevailing theories on family dynamics suggest that not only is there variation in a family but that family systems actively foster it. Two brothers are often defined in contrast to each other and therefor any differences are amplified. Further the same behavior does not work for different individuals because it is not seen as their role. One way to understand this easily is to identify where you are on the serious – tease scale. If you are not dead center than try shifting your behavior to the opposite pole. Teases find they can not be taken seriously and serious individuals find that they cause undue offense. This is not simply because serious people often don’t know how to be funny but also because other people are resistant to seeing them in a new light.Answer by Si
