Back-up in the driveway so that the car is facing out. This way when she pulls out of her driveway, she’s driving forward instead of backing up.
Have her tell the neighbor to keep her dog indoors where it won’t get run over or poo in people’s yards. It’s the neighbors responsibility. Otherwise, she can call the animal shelter to report the dog as a stray.
The neighbor should be keeping that dog on her own property. I have small dogs, and I never let them run around unsupervised. They never leave the yard without a leash, either.

Tell your sister to talk to the neighbors and tell them what the dog does. If that doesn’t work, have her call animal control and tell them there is a stray dog running around. Your sister shouldn’t be watching out for this dog, it’s not her responsibility, it’s the owners!Answer by Christopher P
Stop checking for the dog when you back up. With any luck both problems will be a thing of the past.Answer by footballpo.com
Just tell her to tell her neighbor: Back off!Answer by everythingspeachy2000
They need to have a talk. I have a neighbor who’s dog poops on my deck all the time and we finally had it out after asking her for YEAR to keep her dogs in her yard. I have an invisible fence and we each have three acres…there is no reason why she can’t keep her dogs in her yard except she doesn’t want to.
I ended up doing what EVERYONE else in the neighborhood did and called the Dog Warden. I was the last one to call. Well her dog ended up missing last winter and she wrote me a note saying a coyote got her dog. Well a week later we found it in our yard and do you know what? The police came and said she had an autopsy done and the vet said that a dog had killed it a WEEK AGO!
Well there was no marks on that dog…and the dog had not smelled or decayed at all in the week it was missing…so they accused us of killing the dog and putting it in our freezer and then putting it out a week later.
Oh yeah….one look at my dogs…who were sitting by the cops feet and wagging their tales and not barking …..said it all. She is a liar! I told him to check the dog warden…she is an irresponsible dog owner and has been reported many times…in fact her dogs attacked our neighbor across the street and he had to get 9 stitches!
needless to say…the idiots are keeping their dogs in the yard now….
Answer by picman6500Hello,
My name is Joe sabol and I am considered to be an expert in animal care, etc. My answer is very simple yet extremely effective. First if all I would notify the neighbor by certified mail that you will take drastic action if she doesnt stop and control her dog.
If this continues , go to the Animal Sheletr and rent out a cat trap depending upon how large this dog is. If the dog is the size of a large cat then use the cat trap they use for ferrals, or get a wild aminal trap if the dog is larger.
Put something really yummy in the trap to lure the dog who is on your property to it. The trap is 100% harmless and safe.
The trap door shuts and the dog/cat is contained. Take the dog to the shelter and tell them you trapped the animal. on your property. Your neighbors willl call them I assure you and then they will get fined and have to bail the dog/cat out.
It will stop, I guarantee you. Also make sure you kepp the trap hidden from view. The scent frm the food will bring the dog to you. If the dog keeps coming back the Society will confiscate the dog and put it up for adoption.
The other end of this is to call the police. Most communities have leash laws ans those fines can be really stiff,
Warnings , then action, Your neighbor will very quickly learn to control her dog
