Your CPA should know how to go about this.
However you will need the help an investment banker in order to bring your company public.
You will have decide how much equity your are willing to give up since you will have to give up a percentage of your company in order to have shares sold to the public.
A good CPA should be able to direct with this since they will have to prepare the audited financial necessary for the underwriting.
Since your CPA did not provide any direction,. you can speak to your banker but not the local branch office although they may be able to direct you internally.
If you have a major brokerage firm in your area, stop in and get the name, address etc of some one in their firm that does corporate finance
Don’t worry about where you stock will trade (it wont make to an exchange) the underwriter will take care of issuing the stock and those shares traded in the after-market.
Answer by Hugo’s RoomyIf you want to raise money by issuing public stock, you’ll want to talk to an investment bank about an initial public offering (IPO). Try getting in touch with a few different banks to get their opinions. They may recommend that you raise money through a private offering of stock depending on your situation.
Some banks you might consider: JP Morgan, Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, or a middle market investment bank may be a better fit for you.
You’ll also want to hire legal counsel for the process, and they may also be able to provide good guidance in picking a bank.
Here’s an article that describes the whole process of an IPO:
