Scarlet Baker: How can Islam be the peacemaker of the world when Muslims fight one another?
I’ve seen lot of Muslims who claim that the Islam is about to convert the mankind and the world will be peaceful as if it were a utopia. But how would it work when we see so many Islamic countries and organizations fighting each other all the time?
And no matter how good messages the Islam teach, what is the point of it if they aren’t to be practiced?

3:103 …Remember the blessing that Allah bestowed upon you: you were once enemies then He brought your hearts together, so that through His blessing you became brothers. You stood on the brink of a pit of fire and He delivered you from it…
This refers to the state of the Arabs on the eve of the advent of Islam. There were animosities among the tribes which regularly broke out into fighting; every now and then there was much bloodshed. Things had reached a point that the entire Arabian nation seemed to be on the verge of destroying itself. It was due to the blessings of Islam alone that it was saved from being consumed by the fire to which this verse alludes. The people of Madina had embraced Islam some three or four years before these verses were revealed. They had witnessed the blessing of Islam as it unified into one brotherhood the Aws and Khazraj, two tribes which had long been sworn enemies. Moreover, both tribes treated the migrants from Makka in a spirit of sacrifice and love seldom seen even among members of the same family.
Answer by Artisan95We as muslims are to have a strong sense of unity, Quran commands this. But there are those who allow silly things to get in the way, and allow small little differences and bickerings to destroy this unity. Speaking for all muslims, atend of the day, we are all muslims, and we need to exercise peace and understanding. Quran 3:103 is a great verse the to look at pertaining to this. Many lose sight of this, unfortunately.Answer by Cédric
Hi
First of all, you have to know that every law is broken by some.
People parking on handicap spots or driving through red lights.. it does not make the law bad.
The same thing in islam.. if every one would follow the rules, the world would be peace and harmony.
But this will only be the case when the world will be at his end.
Secondly, people are weak. Doing it wrong doesn’t mean you can’t preach it right. Because the good you are instructing people to do will be a good deed for you if they do it. Even if you aren’t following islam like you should, you still have to encourage others to do so.
Kind Regards

English translation of this Arabic phrase is:
There is no God except Allah;
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
Recitation with understanding of true meaning of this phrase is all that is required for converting to Islam. This phrase, known as Shahada, is a simple creed but has very profound meaning in it and the faith behind it brings people out from darkness into light. By making this declaration and by accepting the obligations of Islamic Law, anyone can join this fastest growing religion. Any person who sincerely believes that there is only One True God, worthy of worship – Allah – the Creator, the Sustainer, the Lord of the Heaven and the Earth and all that exists; and accepts that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last and final Messenger of Allah, is a Muslim.
Allah is the proper name of God. Islam is acceptance of Allah’s commands and guidance as our Creator. Obedience to Allah brings peace. As the word Islam means peace, it is effectively the religion of every human who likes peace. A person who accepts Allah’s guidance and acts upon His commands is a Muslim.
Muslims believe in all Prophets and Messengers of God on earth, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Jesus (peace be upon them) and the last Messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Islam is based on belief in all original Divine Scriptures, containing the guidance of Allah for mankind, of which the Holy Qur’an is the final and the most perfect Book; belief in the existence of angels; belief in the Day of Resurrection and the Day of Judgement; Life after death; and belief in the Islamic doctrine that every human being is morally responsible of thier own actions – good or evil. Nothing can happen without the will and knowledge of Allah. Life in this world will come to an end one day when everything in this world will perish. Then Allah will bring all human beings back to life and judge – reward or punish – them according to their deeds they did during this temporary life on earth. These beliefs form the fundamentals of religion Islam.
In the broader meanings Islam is the only religion preached by all the prophets and messengers: worship Allah alone and submit to Him alone. It is a religion as well as a complete way of life which requires submission to the Will of Allah and obedience to the laws of Allah alone as set down in the final of the revealed Books of Allah, the Holy Qur’an. Islam, in fact, is the direct relationship of a Muslim with God Almighty.
