Sunny: How can I sell things for my school without getting embarrassed?
My school gave me some ribbons (they have like, little sayings about drugs and being drug-free on them) to sell for $ 1 each. And there are 50 of them.
I hate selling things because I get embarrassed easily and the people I sell them to (or try to, anyway) never buy anything. They’re always like “Sorry, honey, but no.”
Any tips?

Ok this is how you gotta look at life
who cares what other people think of you!!!!!!
i used to be like you but then i got over other peoples oponions
and the people who like you are the ones you sould care about
so just go where you have to go and start shouting “would you like to buy a ribbon” act POSITIVE
and people are going to deny you but just shake it off say ok thank you anyways and start selling again
GOOD LUCK

Why not ask a few local businesses if they could help you out by asking them to sell 5-10 for you. Don’t try handing them 50. A few here and there can help you. The money is going for fund raising, not in your pocket, so don’t be afraid to ask others to support the cause. Even if someone says “no,” thank them. Be wary of signs that say no solicition like in apartments or businesses. You will hear alot more “nos” than “yeses.” Just keep plugging along. If you believe in what you’re doing, others will believe in you also. Don’t forget to hit up family and friends and neighbors. Ask your parents to take a few to their employment. Be appreciative of anyone willing to help you. Don’t think of all 50 staring at you. Sell 2, then 5, then 10, and before you know it you’ve got them sold.
