There is no satisfactory solution to your dilemma…..it is simple supply and demand.
If you want to sell something as big as a house, quick – there are not hundreds of buyers looking for your house at your price right this minute. But there will be speculators willing to buy your house at a discount, pay for the additional transaction costs and hold it for the normal selling time to get the price you should get.
Without knowing your specific situation, I would recommend putting your house on the market and renting a flat until your house sells.
Don’t panic. We can do this and I can help you.
First: get a storage unit and start moving every little thing you can out of the house. Everything you can pick up yourself, leaving only sofa, bed, and larger pieces of furniture in the house you are selling. Take every personal thing out and pack it as if you are moving now. Do this as quickly and efficiently as you are able.
When you have eliminated all but the larger pieces, stand back and determine the best furniture arrangement to enhance the appearance of your home and stage the rooms accordingly. Make it spotless and when the house is to be shown make sure there is an aroma of cookies or candles that are clean in scent and not floral.
The advantage to using a storage unit is that it will give you a leg up on the actual move and time to decide what you want to keep and what you don’t. When you get your flat, the movers will have easy access to the large pieces and you can take your time with the rest of the stuff in storage.
I used the method and we sold our home in 2 weeks. Taking out all the ‘stuff’ made the place look huge.
Answer by WildcatYou really cannot. In order to sell quickly in this market you will have to sell at a much lower price than you would prefer. This is just a sad fact of the current economy. Everyone is losing money on their houses.
