Angel Y: How can I obtain a motel registry legally?
There is a custody situation in which, a child and his mother are living in a motel room, and I need to obtain proof.

Get a court order.
You could try video of them going in / out of the building. Or, get search warrant for looking in register, but may do no good if there under assumed name.Answer by Caoedhen
You could just ask… although it probably won’t work. “Human engineering” may also work.
The only real way to do it is through the court issuing a subpoena to the motel for the records you seek.
