Esmeralda: Can you use a Motel for just a couple hours and then check out?
I have been curious about this for a while now. Can you check into a motel in the morning and check out in the afternoon? A motel 6 specifically.

i don’t know about motel 6 but a lot of(mom&pop) sleaze motels have hour rates

You can check out at any time, but they will charge a flat rate for 1 day.

Yes, their are several motels that give you hourly rates. But they are not going to be one of the better ones.

Pardon the indelicacy, but that is how prostitutes book hotel rooms: by the hour. But as the other answerers noted, you can stay in a hotel room in most major chain hotels as little or as long as you want in a day, but you’ll still pay the daily rate. An exception is occasionally airport hotels will offer hourly rates for those passengers who have a lengthy layover. Yes you can, especially at the Hotel California. According to the Eagles “you can check out any time you like but you can never leave”
