benjief1: How can I keep my hands warm while playing rugby?
I suffer from a condition where my hands get cold even in warm weather, so when I’m playing rugby in the cold it can get really difficult to catch the ball as my hands are numb. What’s the best way of keeping them warm? Would deep heat work?

I know it might sound counterproductive but before the game run your hands under really cold water for a minute or so, the colder the better (not icy of course) and then just dry them up. As you’ll experience really cold while you do that afterwards they should be less sensitive to cold and so much more efficient for the game.
I agree with first answer, and I know how you feel, I played a game and it was kinda snowing. Something I thought worked pretty fine but you look kinda weird, when the game stops or whatever, put you hands under your armpits.Answer by Richard T
Put your hands down the front of your shorts but dont run like that as you will fall over But your hands will be warm!!!Answer by Tee
If you do use richard T’s technique make sure you keep you mind on the game… if you know what i mean.
But seriously…. i’ve got nothing. I’m sorry
Maybe swing your arms round and round or……… do something to increase the blood flow to your hands.
Or maybe try not to think about it and you’ll get used to it.
Or just wear gloves. Are your still able to do that? gloves were all the rage a few years back.
