Aslana: How can I keep folks from making changes to records in a shared access database?
I’ve got a database that several folks use and add info to each record at different times. I don’t want to restrict access. I just want to be sure no one accidently changes a piece after it’s been entered. Anyone?

Sounds like you don’t have too many choices. You’ll either need to restrict access or trust that they won’t make changes.
What program data base?
some have password protect.
Answer by radarSince you don’t want changes made to the database you can make it ‘read-only’. This will allow others to view the file but not allow any changes. A better option, in my opinion would be to make it read-only for anyone and password protected for those who need to edit the data.
