Kittie404: How can I improve my modern dancing technique?
I go to a theatre school, and we do acting, singing and dancing. All the best dancers join a group called Aquarius. I love dancing and I feel that my dancing is nearly good enough for me to get in, I just need to improve a little. They do a mix of mostly modern, but also street and jazz. How can I improve my dancing technique?

watch dancing with the stars and mimic their moves.
So You Think You Can Dance CANADA is now on. There are very talented dancers on this show. You can catch it Wednesday at 8.
Critique their moves and pay particular attention to the judges comments.
You should also have someone video your dancing and you can critique your own moves and enforce what you feel are better moves.

Make sure you take as many classes as possible. Do you know anybody in “Aquarius”? If so, ask for some pointers or even some mini lessons. Watch how they move, take notes if you have to. It won’t help to watch dance shows if that isn’t the style that your specific school group does. Work as hard as possible, use your resources and believe in yourself and anything is possible in the dance world!
Good luck!!
