How can I get started playing ice hockey?

gmmjp: How can I get started playing ice hockey?
I’m a 14 year old girl and a HUGE hockey fan. I’ve always been interested in playing, but I never really knew how to get started. I can skate pretty decently and I’ve been working on my stick handling and shooting on a pond behind my house. I don’t have any equipment yet and don’t know how to find teams or something like a camp to learn how to play at in Pittsburgh.

If anyone can offer any help, it’d be very appreciated.

Best if you contact rinks in your area. Might wanna work on your skating first though, it will make learning the game a lot easier – not to mention more fun.
