Joey: How can i get my body ready for tennis and what bodytype is best for tennis?
I am 14 and planning to tryout for my high school tennis team in 9 months. I am about 5’5 and 107 pounds, not too skinny, just slim. I was wondering what is the ideal bodytype i need to have to excel at tennis. Pictures would help as well as a basic workout schedule. If you do not have the time, just pictures will suffice, because my brother is pretty ripped and can basically explain to me how to achieve it.

you need to gain some pounds first. i think 107 is a bit unhealthy…
but for tennis, a ripped body is NOT the best bodytype.
pure muscle will make you slow on the court.
you want to be lean and strong, with lots of endurance. LOTS. basically strong legs and arms that can take running and constant hitting of the ball. good luck
If you look at the pros, you won’t see just one ideal body type. there are some chunky players out there. EG Andy roddick lost 15 pounds last year to get faster on the court. (how does a pro player have that much weight to lose.) anyway just try for the team and adjust your game. One really important thing to have for any tennis player is a strong core (abs and back).
