jofo37: How can I find the selling price for my car and how can I sell it for that price?
I have a Saturn Ion and I’m not sure about it’s value and whatnot. What is the best way to figure out what it’s worth? Also how can I get the most out of selling my car?

how to prepare car to sale
Look at www.kbb.com and see what their suggestion is for pricing your vehicle.
Be honest about the condition of your vehicle, look in your local paper, Craig’s list and ebay for other local examples of the Saturn Ion and what the asking prices are. You should be pricing your car somewhere between trade in and retail pricing after adjusting for mileage and condition.
If you car is truly in exceptional shape and has truly low miles, price it higher. If you’ve got a lot of miles and have trashed the car, then price it lower. One ding is OK, a bent fender lowers the price.
Clean the car. If you can’t or won’t do it yourself, take it to a detailer and have the outside and inside professionally cleaned. If the car smells, have the upholstery and carpets cleaned then quit smoking and eating inside the car.
If you have time, put a for sale sign on it and park it in a safe, but active place for awhile and see if something happens, put an ad in the local paper, put an ad on Craig’s list.
Good luck.
