king reby: How can I dye my hair rainbow from top to bottom without the colors running?
I have been dying my hair for two years and I’ve done just about every unnatural color, color combination, color placement, etc. Right now, my hair is about the length of the hair in my avatar (a bit longer, and more hair in the back), bleach blonde, and verrryyy damaged due to all of the bleaching I have done. I want to grow my hair out naturally again, so I’m planning to cut it alllll off and start over. But before I do, I want to go out with a bang–rainbow hair.
**My question is, how do I dye (from root to tip):
red
orange
yellow
green
blue
(possible turquoise)
purple
without the colors running together? I am willing to take as many steps as possible, and I’ve already realized it’ll probably take me the better part of my day. With the length of my hair, it’ll probably be 1 – 1.5 inches of each color.
I WILL be picking a best answer! Thanks!!

Um… Im not sure, but all I have to say is: THAT IS AWESOME!!!! I LOVE RAINBOWS! LOVE THEM! If I was brave enough, I would totally dye my hair rainbow!!!! ROCK ON!
just use foils to seperate the sections of hair and dye them one color at a time
ps. later on post a picture i want to see how it looks!
Answer by ra_nd_omi would say do one color a day..and keep the parts of hair separated,in like a lot of pony tails.Answer by LakynInfinity
Since your hair is so short, it will probably pretty hard. Get all the hair colors and some DYE THICKENER, and paint them on in stripes. Let process as normal, wash out. Make sure you use the dye thickener, or the color will drip and run. And use a liberal amount of each dye. Use a BRUSH, not your hands.Answer by ajonesy1984
my best suggestion is to have a professional do it and they could be able to tell you if it is at all possible. that is what i would suggest you do first to see if your hair can handle it.Answer by You Kill Me

divide ur hair in tha sectioms u want it 2 be in and dye each part of ur hair each day so u wont have 2 worry bout it running starting from the bottom and clip the rest of ur hair up so it wont get into the dye!Answer by Heroseinthree
start at the top of your hair and apply each color using foil this will help from bleeding or you can apply each color separately rising off after each application be careful not to apply the color to close to the next color to bad you didn’t live near by i would love to do it for you from a cosmetologistAnswer by Mel
i would talk to your stylist and see if they could do it in foils. i’d make sure to deep condition often afterwards too.
i found this pic and really liked the bright colors
Answer by dovendThis is going to be quite the procedure. I would recommend having a professional do it.
If you’re going to go ahead and do it yourself I would start at the nape of your neck and go upwards. Using a color thickener to keep the hair color from dripping apply it with a brush. Comb through each section after you get done applying. You can help to keep the colors separated by using foil pressed tighly along the part inbetween colors. You can also use cotton.
Answer by ♥♥fairygirl/alana♥♥well,if you want to not damage your hair, you need to use temporary sprays….and use all the colors…it’s good because they can wash off immedialy. You can use Jerome Russell’s hair
