shysinsmile: My hair is so dried out. What are some ways that I can get it to start looking healthy again?
I know that dying ur hair over and over isnt good 4 u, but I love to try different looks.I was recently a red head and bleached it to remove the red. I now have a brownish black color.Summer time is around the corner and I want to feel sexy and would like a hot new color. The problem is that my hair is so burnt when I do apply color,my hair doesn’t seem to take hold of it.I recently had my hair cut in layers and it just makes my hair look even more dried out.

try letting it air dry for a while and dont shampoo it soo much, use water thats not too hot for your hair because that is also damaging, and try some Pantene Time renewal Shampoos and Conditioners, go to www.pantene.com
Deep conditioning… works wonders!!! Try Joico’s K-Pak line (found in salons) or go get one done at the salon, they’re not too expensive and they really help a lot. Good luck!Answer by blondie
Use 3 minute miracle. then put some leave in conditioner. then just let it air dry.Answer by Ashley
stop dying your hair! easier said than done i know. Hot oil treatments and leave in conditioner helped me a little but i still havent found a complete fixAnswer by [email protected]
try ivory brand conditoner and let your hair drip dry no blowdrying at all .that should do itAnswer by Kathy A
quit using hair color with ammonia in it.
Use Clairol Hydrience or L’Oreal Natural…
Use a mild GOOD shampoo, and conditioner EVERY DAY. (rinse your hair in cool/cold water and don’t use a comb on wet hair. Use what used to be called a wig brush, a brush with plastic tipped metal tines…it won’t pull your hair and break it off.)
You also might want to use a hot conditoner once-in-awhile. (it’s used with a plastic hat to keep the heat in, while the conditioner works.)Answer by cynthiajean222
Try using Pantene spray-in conditioner after you wash your hair. It’s a leave-in conditiner that really seems to put moisture back into dry hair.Answer by theworldneedsmorelove
first off, are you getting it professionally done?
if you are, get rid of your stylist. any stylist who deserves your money would have stopped coloring your hair long ago.
second, if you’re doing it yourself, STOP!!! and find a stylist who can give you advice!!!
to help it start looking healthy, try putting mayo on it (thickly!) and then tying a plastic bag on to hold the heat in. keep in for 30 mins to an hour and shampoo out.Answer by Jacqueline M
get a trim. Buy a good leave in conditioner, stop blow drying it , and don’t wash it every day. Before you go to bed at night you can just rub a small amount of hand lotion or moisturizer on your hair.Answer by frenchhornfreak
