KayLin: How can I convince my mom that I should start removing facial hair now?
My mom grounded me when I waxed my eyebrows behind her back. She says I’m to young, although pretty much all the girls in my class had waxed or done there eyebrows since they were in 3rd grade!
How can I convince my mom that I’m old enough to wear make up and wax and other stuff? I’m 13 years old, after all.

wow. waxing in the 3rd grade is ridiculous. i’m 15 and i think that’s really wierd. everyone i knew at that age cared about KID things not being ‘clean’ and ‘hygenic’ and looking ‘neat’ that’s so wierd.
let her come with you, tell her you wanna go out and get an eyebrow wax today (don’t do it yourself unless u want embarresment) or something. just let her in on it so she’ll trust you in the future. tell her it’ll “enhance your natural beauty”. because that’s really what it’s about. waxing or tweezing your brows doesn’t make a huge difference anyway.

wow i get mine done at 14 and started at your age. maybe she doesnt want you to grow up 2 fast. she wants you to stay young. but if you explain to her that you are growing up, maybe she will give in. but you have to know your mom and understand her side. try to find something that will workfor her.

I really don’t think waxing your eyebrows is that bad. Especially at thirteen.. tell your mom to shove off. Tell her if she doesn’t let you then you’re gonna pour scolding eyebrow wax on her EYES when she’s sleeping so she can’t see and then she’ll NEVER know if you wax your eyebrows or not!! And plus, how did she know you waxed your eyebrows? There must have been a significant difference if she noticed, which meant you probably needed to wax your eyebrows to begin with. 😉

Tell your mother that your old enough to wax your eyebrow. I now you have a reason for doing it. So, just be honest to your mom.
