…: How can I convince my dad to let me get life sized cardboard cutouts of the Twilight characters?
I REALLY want to get life sized cutouts of the Twilight characters but my dad does not want me to get them. He thinks they are a waste of money but I will enjoy having them sooo much that it will not be a waste. He also does not want a six foot tall cardboard Edward in my room foe some reason. How can I convince him to let me get one?

Well what I’d do is keep emailing him and keep begging him for it 24/7 even if it takes a year keep doing this theory. I am sure this is fail-proof. Plus does anyone give best answers to short answers?

Just do it. Save money and put it up when he’s not home. He will get over it. You should be allowed to do what you want with your money under the condition that you earned it. I also do not believe your father should be stifling your creativity by forcing you to decorate your own room in a manner that pleases him.

okay i went through the same thing. i had a HUGE obsession with shia labeouf and ordered a shia labeouf 6 foot cutout for my room after i begged my parents. i swore i wanted it and would not get tired of it. but sure enough, before it even came, i got a new obsession (trevor moore from wkuk) and ended up not liking shia at all. i was scared at first to tell my parents but i really didnt want that cutout in my house. i finally told them, we refused delivery after many complications with the company, and i got in trouble.
dont order it. this obsession isnt gonna last forever and its a lot of money. take it from someone who knows =]

maybe bargain with him. offer extra chores… maybe swear (and then follow thru) woth keeping your room clean and stuff like that.

Although I think this is a waste of money, you can go up to your dad and say “Dad, I’m pretty sure you had obsessions when you were a kid, so I’m sure you’ll understand why I want to get this”. If your dad still doesn’t let you, tell him that you’ll earn money for it by yourself to show how “mature” you’re being.
