Firefly: How can I convince my dad to let me adopt a goat?
He is really sweet and he is leash trained too but we have already 4 cats, 2 horses, a dog, and a rabbit. Our friends own this goat but they are moving and don’t want him. They asked us if we did. My mom and sister are for it but my dad is on the “NO.” side. What can I do to convince him?

You could tell him that goats produce milk which can be sold for over $ 200 a week.
We used to have a pet goat. She was white and about the size of a medium size dog :). She would follow me around like a dog on a leash when she seen i had food 😉 lol she done that without food too though :).
She wasn’t just a pet though, no matter how gentle she was. She was used to clear the land, brush and stuff. That wasn’t her only diet though. She did pretty well on it but I inisisted on having goat pellets in the winter and a bale of hay. And that hay lasted all winter for one goat ;).
I would list the advantages of having a pet goat:
– clear the land, no more lawnmowing the yard or getting rid of the bushes!
– depending on the breed of said goat, you can make cheese and milk from goat and sell it because its good for lactose interlorant people.
– something fun to do, you can show your goat, silly i know but some people do it and make money…
others breed and sell the kids as a profit.
its up to you.
i hope you get to keep the goat ;).
