I’m interested in getting the Monroe piercing but I’m afraid it will hurt too bad. I have 2 cartilage piercings & they didn’t hurt, just stung. I just want to know what the pain of getting it pierced is compared to the cartilage piercing.

probably will hurt a little more, cartilage doesn’t have much feeling to it because there isn’t a blood supply like the other parts of your body..so you will probably feel this one a little bit more.

It all depends on pain tolerance. My cartilage hurt SOOO bad, and I also have my nose pierced. I know loads of people who have a Monroe, and most say it’s extremely painful. If the cartilage was merely a little pinch for you, then the Monroe might hurt equally…because the area where Monroes are placed are very fleshy since your mouth is…fleshy, I guess. Good luck!

anything around your mouth doesnt hurt at all. unless your pain tolerance is EXTREMELY low

First of all it depends on your pain tolerance. I have a high pain tolerance so it only hurt about a 3 for me. But if you have a low pain tolerance it will be about a 5. Also it did hurt more than my cartilige. My cartilige was a 1.5.
