Bunny: How are the parents seated at the reception?
My parents are divorced, but get along ok. His parents are married. Do I have all the parents sit at one table or should I give them each their own table so they can sit with their close family and friend? What do yall think?

Here’s how we sat:
1 table – bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen & their dates
2 table – my parents, grandmothers, aunts
3 table – his parents, sisters, their husband/date, & another close family friend
It really worked out quite well! My sister did the same with her wedding, but added a 4th family table since her husband’s parents are divorced.
Answer by RebaUsually you would sit your parents with your family, aunts, uncles, brothers etc. and his parents with his family.
If your wedding reception is small and your parents are all comfortable sitting together then that is fine too. You can choose to seat anyone anywhere you want.
Good luck!
Answer by Luv2AnswerMost weddings the bride’s immediate family has a table and the groom’s family has one. Of course you could always let your mom and dad each have their own but since they get along I don’t think it’s a big deal.Answer by Sunny
usually the brides parents sit at a seperate table from the grooms parents. for mine we had the grooms parents and the grooms brother and sister and aunt and uncle at one table. then we had a seperate table for brides parents and grandmother and aunt and cousins
