Ravennwings: Honey in cooking to replace sugar?
I’ve heard that honey can make a good substitute for sugar in cooking or baking. Is this true? Should any other things be taken into consideration?

yes it is good in some things but you have to remember that you will want less honey because it has alot of sugar in it. but you have to like the taste of the honey because i will come out in your cooking. i wouldn’t recommend replacing all the sugar with honey, i would do like half and halfAnswer by serenity
It has a different taste but you can use it if you want to if you have certain health problems then you can use splenda but i don’t trust it anymore.Answer by sky
I personally use honey in cooking, instead of sugar.
I like it much better, and who ever eats the food made with honey likes it a lot.
Just try it once, and see how it tastes.
good luck.Answer by FALLENMALAK
Hi,
Yes Honey is good, but since it’s much sweeter than
Sugar, you need to lesson the amount that is needed.
For Example, 1 cup of Sugar is more or less 1/4 cup
of Honey. The Best Honey to use is “Raw Honey”, not
the processed brand which is light in color.Answer by Scarlet
Calorie wise it’s not going to make any difference at all. people have this misconception that honey is nature’s artificial sweetener – well it isn’t – it’s loaded with calories. Might as well use sugar for baking.
