Homosexual actions in animals are normal, part of nature. No big deal. Homosexuality is normal.Answer by Soph & Dachshund – pawfect™

It isn’t sexual, it is dominance.Answer by texelgirl2
Some one on yahoo has some deep seated fears of homosexuality. Well dear we are pretty much the only ones to practice that so get over it. Or live with a supposed pervy pet. Its probably not the pet thats pervy if thats what you have on your mind all day on a Saturday afternoon.Answer by madcat
Funny. Come on folks, he is making a joke!
It is natural for dogs to try and have sex with other dogs regardless of the sex.
The dominance thing is a bunch of BS. They are just trying to relieve some sexual tension! Just like if the dog humps your leg or a shoe. It is not trying to dominate it, it is trying to have sex with it! Masturbation is very common in the animal kingdom.
And homosexuality is very common in the animal kingdom with at least 1500 animal species practicing it. Including chimps, lions, dolphins, whales, etc.
In dwarf chimps the whole family gets in on the action, with the young chimps even engaging in oral sex with each other.
So don’t worry about your dog. It is natural.

The question’s a joke, people! Of course, that brings us into troll territory…
I’m just surprised at how ignorant people can be… saying “dogs can’t be gay”… Actually, any animal *can* be gay, and homosexual tendencies are common in almost all mammals and birds. Just as people we tend label it as moral or immoral, and feel the need to classify it. But really, even straight humans have gay tendencies… what other explanation is there for pro-wrestling and football? In the animal world, morality and immorality (such as religious beliefs, etc…) don’t exist, so being “gay” is no big deal.
As for the whole “dominance” thing… not necessarily. Yes, dominance is one reason male dogs will hump other male dogs (see the human equivalent: prison), but how do you explain it in dogs who don’t have dominant and aggressive tendencies? It’s not just dominance… there IS something a little “gay” about it. But there’s nothing wrong with that, so who cares?
But yeah… homosexuality in animals is COMMON! Notably lions will even pair into same sex couples and spend a few days at a time affectionately getting it on. So it’s obviously not a dominance thing… they nuzzle, lick, caress, and even f***.
Answer by Ukioh relax, it’s just a dog. Their hormones will convert him anyway someday.
