I applied to this company via yahoo hotjobs. They told me to send 89.50 for my background check that would be conducted by Janovsky and Associates. Well,after a couple of days I noticed the money was cashed and then they sent me a letter in the mail stating they went with another person for the position. But I remember the recruiter Michael Cioffi, stating on the phone “if you are prior military and have no criminal record and a good credit history” that I would be hired without a doubt. Well, after they cashed the check I could no longer get in contact with them. So, eventually, I left a message saying that what they did was wrong and I want my money back because this is a scam. And about five minutes later they called me back threatening me. I found it rather puzzling that I could not contact them, until I left that message and they called back within five minutes. I called the Federal Trade Commission and they are now looking into it. Just be careful if you see this company!!!

Sorry you had to learn the hard way.From this point on never send money to a company for employment purposes.A credible company will always handle those pre-employment test charges.Good luck in recovering your cash!

I just did the same thing I wish I would have researched it, I am very hurt to hear this I used my mother info and had to fax them my license and my ssn I am so scared what do I do ?

Hello guys. Just wanted to give my input on Nation Protection. I applied through Yahoo as well and have actually been hired on with the company. I have been with them for 3 months now and everything is what my recruiter stated. Through orientation, I learned that this company has been around for a long time and they are amazing with their employees. I look at this as my career and will continue working with them for as long as they let me. 🙂 They never pulled my credit, only a background check and I have been reimbursed since then. No scams here and I am proof of that.
