Most landlords are looking for negative items, like a record of an eviction or judgment against you brought by a previous landlord. The absence of positive credit isn’t nearly as important as these other red flags.
Just tell them the truth. They may ask for a deposit, but you should be able to rent a place to live, even with little or no credit history.

Answer by BrittneyYour landlord should perform the credit check themselves and ask you to pay the cost. You can print out your own on a number of free websites. You do not necessarily need a credit card; if you have any kind of loan (school, medical, car, etc), then you have established credit. It won’t be much after only 2 years, but it would be better than nothing.
If you have no credit at all, just inform your potential landlord of this. In some landlord’s opinions, having no credit is better than having bad credit, especially if you are still young.
